Food insecurity is a reality faced by many families in our community. That’s why we’re committed to providing not only nourishment but also hope and dignity. A cornerstone of this commitment is our Community Food Fairs, hosted at PowerHouse Church in partnership with the Houston Food Bank and Yaipak.
These twice monthly food fairs are more than just events—they are lifelines for individuals and families in need. Together, we’re creating an environment of compassion, connection, and care, where no one has to face hunger alone.
A Collaborative Effort to Fight Hunger
Our Community Food Fairs bring together powerful partners with a shared mission: to ensure no family goes hungry.
- Houston Food Bank supplies fresh produce, pantry staples, and nutritious foods, enabling us to reach more households with essential groceries.
- Yaipak Outreach enhances the fairs with additional resources to meet a broader range of needs.
- PowerHouse Church provides a welcoming venue and volunteers, embodying a spirit of service, generosity, and encouragement.
How the Fairs Work
Community Food Fairs take place on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month. Each food fair distributes hundreds of boxes filled with fresh fruits, vegetables, and pantry staples to families experiencing food insecurity.
Everyone in the community is welcome. No paperwork is required but it is first come, first served. Distribution starts at 9 AM and ends when all the food is gone.
