WATCH VIDEO: Houston Food Bank facing money troubles amid loss of millions of federal dollars – ABC13 Houston
As a proud partner of the Houston Food Bank, Katy Christian Ministries (KCM) is affected by recent federal funding cuts t, leading to a reduction in food commodities distributed in local communities.
Simultaneously, the Greater Katy area is experiencing unprecedented growth, with the population increasing by approximately 20.5% from 2020 to 2023 . This surge places additional strain on our resources, as more families seek assistance to meet basic needs.
In 2024 alone, KCM distributed over 1.75 million meals to those in need . Our twice-monthly Community Food Fairs, in collaboration with the Houston Food Bank and Yaipak, serve as vital lifelines for hundreds of familiesÂ
