Yesterday was an emotional day for me as I volunteered at Katy Christian Ministries. Ten years ago, I was in a tough place and didn’t know how I’d make ends meet. My daughter and grandbabies were going through a heartbreaking situation in another state, and I had to be there for them. In doing so, I found myself unable to cover my rent. Desperate, I reached out to KCM, explained what had happened, and they stepped in to help cover my rent. I will always be deeply thankful and grateful for their kindness and support.
Now, a decade later, I’m blessed to be able to give back. I’ve even started my own organization where I do my best to support those in need with food, hotel stays, beds, gas money, and more whenever possible. I thank the Most High God for guiding me through this journey—the ups and the downs have all been part of His greater purpose for me. I know He’s using me as His servant, and when He calls me to act, I do it without hesitation, recognizing that every blessing comes from Him.
I’m also grateful to be part of amazing organizations like Keller Williams Signature and Houston Millennials. These groups share my passion for giving back, and it fills my heart with joy to give in my own way, led by faith and from the bottom of my heart.
Today, I am filled with gratitude, humility, and purpose. I am a chosen child of the Most High God, and I thank Him endlessly for every opportunity to serve others.
