KCM would like to thank the Episcopal Health Foundation for awarding Katy Christian Ministries a $50,000 grant to provide assistance with Health Benefits Applications. In 2020, 40% of KCM’s clients reported not having health insurance and only sought medical treatment as necessary. KCM’s Case Manager, Joselyn Tineo states “Clients often talk about how difficult it is to navigate the health benefits application site so they go without health insurance coverage”. With the funds provided by the Episcopal Health Foundation, KCM will be able to address the client’s need for health insurance coverage, guide them through the application process, and follow up on the submitted application thus making the process less stressful for the client.
