Tomorrow, we as Christians celebrate the anniversary of the day that Jesus Christ arrived on this earth and blessed the people of our world by spreading the word of God. As we celebrate his birth, I would like to take a moment and thank God for the gifts that have been bestowed upon us, and for the blessings that will surely come. Christmas provides us with a chance to give thanks to God for blessing us with his word, but it is also an opportunity to speak to each other and share our blessings!

Katy Christian Ministries was founded on the belief that we, as neighbors, must come together to uplift each other through God’s grace. And for the last 36 years, that’s what so many of you have done. The Holy Spirit is alive and well in Katy and I am so blessed to have passionate neighbors and family supporting KCM and our entire team.

In 2021, KCM will be hitting the ground running. Between the Capital Campaign to raise funds to acquire our own building in January, various community projects, and what I can predict will be many unseen surprises, 2021 will be a big year for this organization. It’s my hope that you continue on this path with us. Without support from the Greater Katy-Area, much of what we do would be impossible.

I would like to thank our neighbors for continuously pledging support even during times of crisis. Your generosity is inspiring, heart-warming, and greatly appreciated. The generosity of your gifts and the depth of your hearts through volunteerism is incredible. The support that this community has given to us has always made us feel so welcomed and accepted. Thank you to everyone who has helped to make it feel that way.

Special thanks to our Board of Directors, who have helped to direct KCM towards a bright and prosperous future. Thanks to their insight, we have been able to grow to heights and 2021 is looking to be a momentous year! Your guidance has been appreciated and welcomed at every step and you have all worked to broaden the potential of KCM!

Lastly, to the people that represent KCM on a daily basis, our staff. There are few words that can begin to outline my thanks to you all, but I’ll try. The dedication of every department in this family is so influential on my day. Even if an unforeseen situation derails a plan, this team always realigns me on the correct path and helps me to refocus on our mission. The work that they do truly is impactful. To the Food Pantry, Crisis Center, Social Services Department, Resale Team, and everyone in Administration, thank you.

On behalf of the KCM Board of Directors and I, may you have a Merry Christmas and blessings to you and your family.
