Adverse Child Experiences Study

Part II-Afternoon – Developing a Trauma-Informed Care Approach

Introducing Models of Trauma-Informed Care
Promoting Self-Care & Resiliency/Organizational Support for Self-Care
Practical Application of Trauma-Informed Care Approach – Experiential group work
on how to integrate a trauma-informed care approach in your setting

Goal:

Participants will learn about trauma, trauma types, and key manifestations.  Major goal is to
integrate a trauma-informed care approach in working with families throughout the system.
Session will allow for experiential work, illustration of key principles through case vignettes, and
participant group discussion.
